Word problems which command a strong literacy competency are often used to test the student's mathematical knowledge. For students with dyslexia, word problems posed a greater challenge to mathematical achievement in schools. Therefore, this workshop will help participants to adopt practical strategies to help students solve word problems in a more logical and functional way via vocabulary and visual problem solving strategies.
