Following a three-tier framework, this presentation will review current literature and evaluate strategies, that have been have been empirically validated for use with refugee and immigrant students, school staff can use to support refugee children. With awareness of the refugee child’s experience and risk factors, participants will be able to better assist their schools in providing the appropriate level of mental-health support to every refugee child.
