ABA is the process of applying scientific based intervention based on the science of behavior. It is used as a teaching method for children with autism. ABA is widely recognized as a safe and effective treatment for children with autism. In 2007, American Academy of Pediatrics reported children who receive early ABA-based intervention have shown significant improvement. Numerous organizations have endorsed ABA, including the US Surgeon General and the New York State Department of Health.
